Our 2018 “Lean Into Learning” professional development grant initiative was a huge success. We awarded $127,937 to educators from 17 districts and many more schools. Here are a few examples of their ITEF PD experience: conference and symposium attendance, school visits across the nation, collaborations with neighboring districts and participation in online learning through IDEO U. We understand that professional development can take many forms. ITEF hopes educators will choose innovative experiences that will inspire them to try new and challenging initiatives.
Thirty-five grants were awarded to educators from the following places:
- The Soulard School
- Lindbergh School District
- Fort Zumwalt School District
- The College School
- The Forsyth School
- Pajoma Preparatory School
- Gateway STEM High School
- Mehlville School District
- Wentzville School District
- Northwest R1 School District
- Valley Park School District
- Lift for Life Academy
- Ritenour School District
- Fox C-6 School District
- Crossroads College Preparatory School
- Sunrise R-IX School District
- KIPP
The online application will open on June 1, 2019. Professional development opportunities must be completed by December 31, 2019 and there is a $4000 limit per grant application. Apply early because funds ran out in late July of 2018! ITEF is excited to support educators as learners.
