New Board Officers and Members Welcomed to ITEF Foundation
St. Louis, MO. – The Innovative Technology Education Fund (ITEF) is pleased to announce Kevin Stokes and Carol Nelson as 2020-2021 board chair and vice-chair respectively.
Dr. Stokes, assistant professor of educational leadership at Maryville University, has been a board member since 2017. Ms. Nelson is the Education Relations K-12 Project Manager at the Boeing Company and joined the ITEF board in 2016. The current board treasurer is Jane Vancil, founder, and CEO of IncentiLock. The board secretary is Raven Akram, in-house counsel at Macy’s.
We also welcome new board members, Christopher Grabau and Sherita Haigler. Dr. Grabau is an instructional developer at St Louis University. Ms. Haigler is United Way’s vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
ITEF is a St. Louis-based, charitable, nonprofit foundation that supports innovation in education by funding advanced technology in the classrooms of public, private, parochial, and charter schools in the greater St. Louis area. ITEF also provides opportunities for educators to continue to grow and learn in their field. Three grant opportunities are available annually: the Innovative Technology Grant, the Professional Development Grant, and the Catapult Grant.
Since 2008, ITEF has provided more than $3 million in grants to St. Louis-area schools.
